So my husband and I had this crazy idea of doing a 3 Day Cleanse. We haven’t been taking care of our health and fitness for probably the past year and needed a jumpstart so we figured why not? How hard could it be? HAHA!
Hard. It’s very hard, BUT we did it! I am the type of person who always likes to start things and never finish them, and to actually finish this felt amazing, and I didn’t cheat once! Plus we got some awesome results as well. My husband ended up losing 7lbs and myself almost 5! 4.6 to be exact. In 3 days…I didn’t think it was possible and I still don’t understand how that all works because I have definitely been sick for 3 days and gone with very little food and never lost a single lb! All I know is this program worked and its made our next health venture a whole lot easier. I’ll give you a little inside on how our days looked…
-Upon waking up you should drink water, this gets your system going. Then we would have a specified protein shake. Mine was chocolate, YUM! Along with your shake you need a fruit. I would either blend my fruit in with my shake or eat it alone.
-Next you could choose to have morning tea-I chose to definitely have some green tea because I needed the caffeine.
-Then about mid-morning you have a fiber drink.Now I know what you are thinking, YUCK! But I am the pickiest person, I will gag on food and can’t eat certain textures…this wasn’t as bad as you’d think. I was able to get it down so I believe anyone can!
The day then continued on with special shakes and certain amounts of veggies and fruit. Even if we had to be out of the house for the day we packed a cooler with everything we needed and made it work! The first day was hard because my body was in shock so I was hungry and a tad lethargic. By day 2 it took till about mid afternoon to feel pretty good, but I could tell it was working. I knew my body was going through the changes that it needed to. Day 3 was a breeze! I had moments of hunger(which is basically me just craving junk haha) but other than that I felt really good! I was so excited after having my final dinner, I knew I had finished and was so proud!
This is such a great thing to do if you are wanting to detox and start fresh like us, or maybe you just got home from a vacation and need a recharge, maybe you just ate terrible over the weekend, either way, it was definitely worth the hard work. Both my husband and I feel this way and now we are starting a whole new program and I feel it just was a great jump start for our bodies! Can’t wait to see my full results and body transformation.
If you were wondering, I’ve never ever been into health and fitness, I’m not a guru, nor do I have all the answers. I mean look at all my recipes on here, they are full of sugar and butter, but I got real sick about a week ago and I know it was because I had neglected to take care of myself so I decided to make a change. Its going to be hard at times and I will definitely cheat, fail and want to give up, but at least I know I am on the right journey to being healthy and hopefully somewhat fit!
P.S. Just did my first workout of my next adventure…..I think I died.
